Annette Lightheart – Ayurveda Health Counsellor, Herbalist, Integrated Nutrition Practitioner, and Yoga Teacher

Annette Lightheart is the founder of Shakit and Sage and a dedicated guide in the art of holistic healing. She studied with the Joyful Belly School of Ayurveda, earning certifications as an Ayurveda Health Counsellor and Ayurvedic Herbalist, specializing in advanced strategies, formulas, and pharmacology. She also deepened her knowledge of food as medicine through certification in Ayurveda Integrated Nutrition with VedaWise. Additionally, she completed the Teacher Within Yoga Teacher Training Program, meeting the standards of Yoga Alliance.

Annette is also the co-founder of Soul Sister Botanicals, a small business dedicated to crafting high-quality herbal remedies, teas, and self-care products, inspired by nature and traditional healing wisdom.

Her upcoming book, For the Love of Tea: A Journey Through 12 Herbs for Better Health and Wellness, will be released on Amazon in April 2025. More than just a tea guide, this book invites readers into a lifestyle of mindfulness, self-care, and connection—to nature, to wellness, and to oneself.
